Home/School Life

Learning that happens beyond the classroom.

On the yoga mat, on stage, in the karate hall, or on a road trip to a new city — school life at Annai Velankanni is rich, purposeful, and full of the kinds of moments that shape who a person becomes.

Yoga
Y

Strength, stillness, and self-awareness.

Yoga at Annai Velankanni MHS School is a daily practice in physical health and inner balance. Students learn classical asanas to build strength and flexibility, and are introduced to meditation as a tool for focus, emotional regulation, and calm under pressure. In a world that rewards restlessness, teaching a child to pause and centre themselves is one of the most valuable gifts an education can provide.

  • Classical asanas for strength and flexibility
  • Meditation and guided relaxation
  • Pranayama and breath-control exercises
  • Annual Yoga Day celebration (21 June)
  • Emotional regulation and self-awareness
